THE JDC PROGRAms
Our JDC programs aim to bring hope and support to the youth of Elkhart through the gospel of Jesus! The focus is on building relationships, encouraging open dialogue, and providing a foundation for continued connection once the youth return to their communities. The programs have fostered environments where students feel comfortable sharing their struggles, supporting each other, and growing in their faith.

VISITS TO THE JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER
Starting in February of 2024, Lifeline began visiting the youth at the Elkhart Juvenile Detention Center once a week! Our mission is to ignite hope in the hearts of these students through the power of the gospel of Jesus!
During our visit we play games in the gym, share a lesson about Jesus, followed by small group time, and have fun activities. The goal of each activity is to connect with the students and build relationships that will hopefully continue at Lifeline when they return to the community.
The DIVERSION PROGRAM
The purpose of a diversion program is to redirect youth from formal processing in the juvenile justice system while still holding them accountable.
When approached with the opportunity to provide this program, we were overjoyed! Hundreds of students will be reached and prevented from being imprisoned at the Juvenile Detention Center. Our diversion programs are three to six weeks, where these teens are required to attend each meeting for their requirements to be fulfilled.
